One of our most formidable challenges in animal control is the raccoon. Unparalleled climber, strong, durable and smart, these animals have become pests just because there are so many of them and they have successfully adapted to urban conditions. Late winter and early spring finds females breaking into human structures (mostly because our structures are built perfectly for this, or, we have not done proper maintenance) in order to nest and have their young (between three and six, usually).
